| Description: | Position Summary: We are looking for a web developer with a passion for emerging technologies who has experience using these technology to develop highly scalable data-driven consumer-oriented web applications. We are searching for a talented web developer to design and develop highly interactive rich internet applications, utilizing Wordpress, Drupal, Dot Net Nuke and other 3rd party applications. This person would participate in the technical design and implementation of building our next generation websites and well as contributing to migration of current sites to future platforms. Essential Job Duties: Utilize multiple CMS plugins to expand, enhance and solidify online properties. Plan and design technical structure and architecture by studying the site concept, strategy and envisioning technical scheme, information structure, features, functionality and user interface. Collaborate with project managers, designers, marketing managers, to refine the user experience. Developing applications in an object oriented environment using application development technologies including web services, Ajax, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, CSS, Flash and PHP. Contributes to creating guidelines and best practices for website development. Formulate system scope and objectives to create or modify an application Develop application using Microsoft technologies including: C#.NET, ASP.NET, WPF, WCF, ADO.NET, SQL Server, IIS, and Windows Server. Direct Reporting Relationship: - Reports to Director of Web Development |
| Requirements: | Qualifications: • Minimum Level of Education: - 4 Year College Degree MIS, CS, technical degree or equivalent experience. • Minimum Years of and specific type of prior work experience: - 3+ years experience in web application design and development working with highly scalable web applications using PHP/LAMP, C#.NET, ASP.NET, WPF, WCF, ADO.NET, SQL Server, IIS, and Windows Server • Specific Skills/Abilities/Certifications Must have a experience building cross browser applications in an object oriented environment using application development technologies including web services, Ajax, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, CSS, Flash, PHP and Microsoft technologies. Database Design and Relational Databases developing against MySQL. Creating multimedia applications, integrating Quicktime, Windows Media, or Flash Video.
