| Description: | The Trade Marketing Manager will manage both trade marketing and publicity for assigned communities. Duties and Responsibilities Trade Marketing Responsibilities: 1. Performs retail catalog merchandising, copy editing, database updates and project management between Sales and Production. 2. Manages magazine business-to-business marketing to include media kit presentation, special events, and other advertising. 3. Manages the budget for Trade Advertising (in-house plus external publications), Retail Catalogs and BLADs. 4. Assumes trade advertising responsibility including full media planning, creative requests and insertion order for in-house and outside publications. 5. Participates in title, design, and cover meetings. 6. Proofs routing for covers, back panels, and BLADs. 7. Participates in pub board. 8. Provides trade show marketing support (including collateral, posters, and booth support). 9. Writes copy for trade eNewsletters. Publicity Responsibilities: 1. Creates and distributes press releases. 2. Responds to publicity inquiries. 3. Tracks clips (print and on-line ) for all titles and prepare regularly publicity updates for Sales and DTC team with results metrics. 4. Creates and distributes author kits with press release and book image. 5. Manages budgeted spend for Publicity, Promotion Copies, and Postage. 6. Manages author relations to include coordination of materials for author events (to include author postcards, logistics of author travel, and author-themed e-newsletter offer publicity and sales tips). |
