Position: Copywriter

Description: The copywriter writes and project-manages the creation, in collaboration with departmental designers, of direct-to-consumer marketing efforts in the form of direct mail, print ads, web ads, emails, newsletters, websites and other pieces as directed by marketing managers in the circulation, events and competitions departments.
Responsible for:
* Meeting with marketing managers, editors and community leaders to understand promotional needs and maintain/update knowledge of the various enthusiast communities F+W serves.
* Based on creative requests from internal clients listed above, write and collaborate with designer and (when necessary) print buyer to create piece to internal client's specifications. This work includes simple revisions of existing pieces as well as completely new creative.
*  Managing heavy workload and tight deadlines, maintaining impeccable records of each project's status and following up with designers and clients to ensure timely delivery.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, or related field, and/or 3 years experience writing promotional materials
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Web experience preferred.
Capacity to handle a high volume of writing and project-management work while staying unruffled, organized and on schedule. Demonstrated understanding of the difference between promotional and editorial styles of writing.
Ability to interact positively with a large number of internal clients.
Skill in adapting writing style to appeal to various demographic audiences, from turkey hunters to graphic designers.
